Fault codes, also called error codes or fault codes, allow your device to automatically report an internal malfunction. Below you will find the list of fault codes for your Electrolux tumble dryer and their meaning: this will give you an indication to best diagnose the origin of the malfunction of your appliance.
The error code can be read directly on the front panel of your Electrolux dryer. Depending on the model, you can read this code on a display (for example, “Err 01”) or by observing the number of LED flashes (for example: 4 LED flashes = “Err 04”).
Refer to the user manual for your Electrolux appliance to find out the exact meaning of the fault code displayed or the lights that flash. The number of flashes often corresponds to the error code number, but there are specificities linked to each model and brand.
ERROR CODE E21 – ELECTRONIC POWER BOARD
This fault code indicates a problem with the electronic power board.
Replace the main electronic board with a similar model compatible with your dryer.
ERROR CODE E22 – ELECTRONIC CARD
This code indicates that the tank fill pump Triac “sensing” circuit is defective.
The main electronic board is defective and must be replaced.
ERROR CODES E31 AND E32 – ELECTRONIC CARD
The error code is activated when the frequency of the conductivity sensor signal is too high or too low.
This problem occurs in the event of a fault in the electronic power card, which must be replaced.
ERROR CODE E33 – ELECTRONIC CARD
This fault code is displayed when the last alarm is displayed, if position 8 is “NOT OK”.
In this case, replace the electronic power board: it has defective wiring.
ERROR CODE E45 – DOOR SECURITY
This fault code indicates a fault in the door locking system.
Check that nothing is blocking the closure or safety and replace it if necessary.
ERROR CODE E50 – DRIVE MOTOR
This code indicates a fault in the drive motor management card.
Replace the electronic power board to resolve your problem.
ERROR CODE E51 – POWER SUPPLY SHORT CIRCUIT
The error code indicates that the motor power triac is short-circuited, or that the motor is defective.
Check the wiring of the electronic board and the motor, or replace the power electronic board.
ERROR CODE E52 – DRUM ROTATION
This error code indicates a drum rotation problem. It may be blocked which stops the operation of the device.
- Check that you can turn the drum by hand.
- If the drum can spin, check the start capacitor and motor.
- Otherwise, the mechanical rotation system is to blame: check the belt, joints and felts which could be poorly positioned or damaged.
ERROR CODE E53 – ELECTRONIC CARD
This fault code indicates a fault in the dryer power triac.
Replace the electronic card with one compatible with the device model.
ERROR CODE E54 – MOTOR BLOCKED
This fault code is displayed if the motor is blocked, due to excessive laundry loading, for example.
- If the drum is not too full, check that the rotation transmission system is not blocked, particularly at the belt.
- Also check that nothing is stuck in the space between the door and the drum.
ERROR CODE E60 – POWER CARD
This fault code indicates a fault in the compressor power triac.
Replace the electronic card with one compatible with the device model.
ERROR CODE E61 – INSUFFICIENT HEATING
The E61 code indicates that the heating in the device is insufficient after a certain maximum time has been exceeded.
- First of all, check the condition of the filter in the door and clean it. Replace it if it is in too poor condition.
- The heating system (resistance) or the temperature sensor may also be defective, replace these parts if it turns out that they are not working.
ERROR CODE E62 – POWER RELAY
This code indicates that the heating system power relay is faulty.
Replace the electronic card on which it is located, checking the compatibility of the new part with your model.
ERROR CODES E63 AND E64 – THERMOSTAT
This fault code signals the intervention of the heating group’s automatic reset thermostat.
This indicates that the thermostat is defective: therefore replace the heating group or the electronic power supply board.
ERROR CODES E65, E66 AND E67 – FAN MOTOR
This code indicates that the fan motor is damaged.
Check the fan wiring and replace its motor if defective.
ERROR CODES E71 AND E72 – TEMPERATURE PROBE
This fault code indicates that the temperature probe is defective.
Check its condition, its wiring and its resistive value, then replace it if necessary.
ERROR CODES E82 AND E83 – PROGRAMMER
This error code indicates a failure of the control board programmer.
To resolve the problem, replace the control board located on the front panel of the device.
E84: Communication Error with Dryer Moisture Sensor
Error code E84 points to a communication issue between the control board and the moisture sensor. The moisture sensor helps determine when clothes are dry. Issues with this sensor can affect drying accuracy.
E85: Communication Error with Dryer Drying Temperature Sensor
Error E85 relates to a communication problem between the control board and the drying temperature sensor. This sensor monitors the temperature during drying cycles.
E91: Communication Error with Dryer User Interface
Error code E91 suggests a communication problem between the dryer’s control board and the user interface. This can affect the interaction with the dryer’s settings and controls.
E92: Communication Error with Dryer Selector Knob
Error E92 points to a communication issue between the control board and the selector knob, which is used to select dryer settings. Communication problems can impact the selection and operation of drying cycles.
E93: Communication Error with Dryer Display Board
Error code E93 indicates a communication problem between the control board and the display board. Issues in this communication can affect the display and overall operation of the dryer.
ERROR CODES E93 TO E97 – CONFIGURATION ERROR
These codes indicate a configuration error for a device function.
The configuration is made on the electronic power card, it must therefore be replaced to resolve this error.
ERROR CODES EA1 TO EA4 – SOFTWARE ERROR
These errors are caused by software issues preventing the device from functioning.
Replace the power electronics board to resolve the error.
ERROR CODES EB1 TO EB3 – INCORRECT VOLTAGE
The modules are powered by the electronic power module which must be replaced to resolve the problem.
ECA ERROR CODE – CONDENSED WATER PUMP
This error code applies to certain models of dryers with a condensed water pump. The water tank level detection sensor is defective and no longer measures correctly.
- Check that the condensed water drain pipes are not clogged.
- Replace the pump if necessary.
ECX ERROR CODE – POWER MODULE
These error codes can signal various problems (thermostat, software) but are caused by the failure of the power electronic module.
Replace the power electronics board to resolve these errors.
ERROR CODE EH0 – POWER MODULE
This fault code indicates a fault in the power module of the dryer.
Replace the electronic power board with a model compatible with the device model.
