The boiler is one of the most important parts of the steam generator.
- It ensures the heating of the water which is in the tank of the appliance, before transforming it into steam and diffusing it in this form in the soleplate of the iron.
- The boiler is at the heart of the process of creating steam, fundamental for ironing without damaging the fabrics.
Replace your steam generator boiler if:
- the steam generator no longer heats;
- the iron spits out water;
- the iron no longer emits steam.
The boiler of the steam generator is located inside the housing of the device. It is at the heart of the connections, it is in a metallic material and cylindrical in shape.
OPEN THE STEAM PLANT HOUSING
- Remove the iron and the water tank from the steam generator for more comfort when handling the device.
- Unscrew the screws from the base of the steam generator, using a screwdriver. Put the screws aside to find them quickly in time.
- Turn the steam generator upside down and open its casing to start working.
REMOVE THE BOILER FROM THE STEAM PLANT
- Unscrew the screws from the boiler plate, using a screwdriver.
- Undo the two pipe clamps located on either side of the boiler: use pliers.
- Carefully remove the two pipes from the boiler: use a flat screwdriver to release them from the end piece.
- Unscrew the retaining of the thermostats fixed to the boiler, using a screwdriver: memorize their initial position (photo, drawing).
- Carefully remove the last pods from the boiler with your hands.
INSTALL THE NEW STEAM PLANT BOILER
- Take the new boiler: choose one that is similar or equivalent to the model recommended by the manufacturer.
- Reconnect the terminals to the new boiler.
- Refit the thermostat retainer using a screwdriver. Return the thermostats to their original location: slide the thermostat under its metal retainer with your hand.
- Screw the earth and the last fixings back on.
- Return the boiler pipes to its ends and tighten the clamping rings.
- Retighten the boiler plate screws, using a screwdriver.
CLOSE THE STEAM PLANT HOUSING
- Close the steam generator casing: take care that no wire gets in the way of the closure.
- Turn over the steam generator casing and tighten the screws on its base, using a screwdriver.
- Put the steam generator back in place and put the water tank back in place.
