Fault codes, also called error codes or fault codes, allow your device to automatically report an internal malfunction. Below you will find the list of fault codes for your Indesit dishwasher and their meaning: this will give you an indication to best diagnose the origin of the malfunction of your appliance.
The error code can be read directly on the front panel of your Indesit dishwasher. Depending on the model, you can read this code on a display (for example, “Err 01”) or by observing the number of flashes of the LEDs. On some models, 4 flashes indicate that the error code is “Err4”.
Refer to the user manual for your Indesit appliance to find out the exact meaning of the fault code displayed or the lights that flash. The number of flashes often corresponds to the error code number, but there are specificities linked to each model and brand.
ERROR CODE 01 – LEAK
This error code indicates that a leak is detected at the bottom of your dishwasher.
Check the sides or floor to locate the leak. It can come from pipes or one of the parts of the device.
If the error concerns an overflow, check the pressure switch and the compression chamber, or the leak detector.
ERROR CODE 02 – FILLING
This fault code tells you that the device is filling with water for no reason.
Check the solenoid valve, compression chamber and pressure switch. If any part is defective, replace it.
ERROR CODE 03 – DRAIN
This code indicates a drain problem. Water remains in the dishwasher and the appliance cannot drain completely.
- Check the pump filter and drain lines, which should not be blocked or kinked.
- Also check the drain pump, compression chamber and pressure switch.
ERROR CODE 04 – TEMPERATURE PROBE
This fault code indicates that the NTC temperature probe is defective.
Check the connections of this probe. Replace it if it is in poor condition and no longer works.
ERROR CODE 05 OR 06 – WATER LEVEL DETECTION
This code indicates a water level detection problem. The device fills, but nothing is detected.
Check the compression chamber and pressure switch.
ERROR CODE 07 – CIRCULATION PUMP
This error code indicates a water detection problem. Water is clearly seen in the machine, but is not detected for propulsion in the wash arms.
Check the cycling/circulation pump, its impeller and the pressure sensor.
ERROR CODE 08 OR 10 – HEATING
This fault code indicates a fault in the heating system.
Check the resistance as well as the positioning of the temperature probe. These are parts that you can replace if they are in poor condition and no longer work.
ERROR CODE 09 – ELECTRONIC CONFIGURATION
This error code is displayed in the event of a programming problem with the electronic card.
- First, check your user manual for ways to reset your device. Typically, you just need to unplug it for an hour and turn it back on later.
- Otherwise, replace the electronic board if the problem persists.
ERROR CODE 11 – TRAFFIC
This code indicates a problem with water circulation in the device.
Check the cycling pump and its connections, then the pump turbine.
ERROR CODE 12 – COMMUNICATION BETWEEN MODULES
This code indicates a communication problem between the display and power board.
- Check the connections and the status of the 2 cards
- Replace the power board if the problem persists.
ERROR CODE 13 – POWER CARD
This code indicates a fault on the power board.
Replace it to run your dishwasher.

LASHING OF THE “DRYING”, “END” OR “WASHING” LIGHTS
Flashing can signal several types of problems, depending on which light is on:
-
“Drying” and “end” indicators : there is a water cut, the device is not powered correctly. Check that the faucet is turned on properly and that the supply lines are not kinked or blocked. If the dishwasher is blocked, turn off the appliance using the ON/OFF button, open the tap and after 20 seconds turn it back on by pressing the same button again. Reprogram the device and turn it back on.
- “Wash” light : Turn off the appliance, close the water tap and unplug the power outlet. Check that the water inlet filter is not clogged and the pipes are not kinked.
